I've been bass fishing in Maryland for over 40 years. I started out on local reservoirs, where only electric-powered boats were allowed. Back then, we used small aluminum boats with heavy lead-acid batteries. It was challenging, but that's where my love for fishing began.
As my passion grew, I moved into competitive fishing, winning regional tournaments and qualifying twice for the Bassmasters Chapter Championships. Those were some of the proudest moments of my fishing career.
Eventually, I found myself drawn back to where it all started—the reservoirs. Today, I compete in the Electric Bass Anglers circuit with an all-electric Skeeter powered by LiTime lithium batteries. The lighter batteries make it easier to navigate the water and focus on fishing.
After more than four decades, I've learned that winning isn't everything. Sometimes I head into a tournament with no expectations at all. Besides my family, fishing has been one of the most important things in my life. I truly enjoy the sport of fishing and competing in tournaments. I go out to their fishing tournaments, sometimes with zero expectations. If I win, that’s great, but just getting on the water each time is a new experience and I have fun doing it.
