Garrett Cromer
Collegiate Angler
I grew up fishing with my dad, starting at a golf course and anywhere else I could find a place to cast a line. By the time I was nine, I was already fishing tournaments. What started as something I loved doing with my dad quickly became a passion I wanted to keep chasing.
From small local tournaments to high school competitions and now the college fishing series, every step has taught me something new. What I love most about fishing is the unexpected. The lakes change, the fish move, and what worked yesterday might not work today. You have to keep learning, adapting, and figuring things out as you go.
For me, fishing is also about being outdoors, enjoying God's creation, and discovering something new every time I'm on the water. As I look toward bigger tournaments in 2027, that's what keeps me motivated.
No matter how far fishing takes me, I know one thing: there will always be something new to learn on the next cast.
