What are the benefits of upgrading to lithium wheelchair mobility scooter battery?

The BMS has a self-recovery protection function, meaning that after protection is triggered, you do not need to disconnect and reconnect the load, making it more convenient for using.

What should I pay attention to before installing?
1. Pay attention to the battery dimensions. The size should not be too large, and should be based on the size of the original lead-acid battery case.
2. If the size matches (Group U1), you can directly use the original battery fixing components in the vehicle for installation.
3. Confirm whether the charger is compatible with lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. If not, it needs to be replaced with a LiFePO4 charger.

Can I connect the battery in series or parallel?
Yes. LiTime 12V 45Ah lithium battery supports up to 4 in parallel and 4 in series (Max. 4P4S) to form a 51.2V 180Ah battery system with 9216Wh of energy and a max. load power of 9216W. In addition to wheelchair and mobility scooter, it can also be used in campers, backup power, trolling motors (20-30 lb) and off-grid systems.
To connect in series or parallel, batteries should meet the below conditions:
a. identical batteries with the same battery capacity (Ah) and BMS (A);
b. from the same brand (as lithium battery from different brands has their special BMS);
c. purchased in near time (within one month).
Can I charge the 45Ah Group U1 lithium batteries under freezing point?
Important Notice: The LiTime 45Ah Group U1 battery does not include low-temperature charging protection. While LiFePO4 batteries can be safely charged between 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F), charging below freezing can damage the cells.
